Pride - part 1

This cub was caught folding his uniform on his bag ready so he could
wear it later.

Parents - look

Our cubs can butter their own bread for lunch.

Packing up - part 2

Packing up - part 1

Yes our cubs really do pack there own tents away.

Cubs cook breakfast

On sunday morning - This cub was one of two that cooked bacon and sausage for 30.

They survived

These adventurous 10 survived the monster midges, the bats and the
pine cones (dropping from the trees) in there quest to spend a night
under the stars. (the 11th cub was still fast asleep when this picture
was taken)

Parents - don't panic

We never got round to finishing the shelters (to much fun playing
wide-games), but with such hot weather we gave the cubs the
opportunity to sleep under a big sheet hung between some trees -
however some of them asked if they could sleep under the stars. At bed
time 5 cubs went under the sheet and everyone else set there bed in a
clearing. Then the midges arrived (millions of them - forest camp is
renowned for them) - one by one cubs decided that the midges were to
annoying so they went back to the sheet shelter - by 10.30pm there
were only 11 hard core cubs plus baloo and cheryl left). Sleeping
under the stars was an impromptu adventure suggested by the cubs -
with such wonderful weather (and monster midges) it turned into an
adventure that those 11 cubs will never forget.

Gross

Every camp needs a drainage pit or in our case a drainage pipe (this
catches the foods and allows the liquid to soak into the ground - its also
where we spit when we clean our teeth)

Baloo's home

Does baloo like the adventure of sleeping in a hammock or is he just
to lazy to put a tent up (you decide)
